Montgomery

We are consulting the community of Montgomery on a set of ideas which will form a Plan that guides investment and attracts funding into the town for the next 5+ years.

Following an initial consultation period (June – August), a Summary Placemaking Plan, featuring a set of ideas for improving the town centre has been created. We are once again inviting the Montgomery community to comment on our proposals to help further shape the new Plan.

The ideas have been developed based on local research, stakeholder meetings and consultations with numerous local organisations including the Town Council and Powys County Council. They are designed to grow the local economy, increase footfall and the vitality of the town, improve local facilities and infrastructure, and enhance green and community spaces in the town centre.

The ideas and local feedback on them will form the basis of a Placemaking Plan for Montgomery which will be developed following this consultation and published in October.
